Would You Pay To Watch A Fantasy Fashion Show?

A press conference was held in São Paulo yesterday to officially kick off the first ever Monange Dream Fashion Tour, a Fashion Rocks hybrid which will tour the country starting this Saturday in Curitiba.

Headlined by Caroline Trentini, Isabeli Fontana, Izabel Goulart, and Renata Kuerten (who I hear dates whoever is paying for the event and therefore got her name next to the previous three big models I mentioned), Monange Dream Fashion Tour will feature performances by pop band Jota Quest, and by the reigning queen of kid’s television, Xuxa. The line up also includes the likes of Flavia de Oliveira, Marcelle Bittar, Fernanda Tavares, and Ana Claudia Michels, and they will all be wearing clothes (or costumes) created especially for the event by stylist Daniel Ueda.

It all sounds so cheesy and camp that it may actually be fun, sort of like the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show without the Black Eyed Peas and Ale Ambrósio. Plus I am certain that there are millions of screaming teenagers and model wannabees who will live for this event, especially considering tickets start at R$ 35 with the student discount.
